Keyboarding - (Required of all CCS
students for Graduation) Grade level: 9-12 Number of weeks: 20 Number of credits: ½ This course is designed to introduce students to the basic functions of a multi-media computer, teaching them keyboarding skills for more effective use of the computer, as well as to teach students how to conduct research via the Internet. Information processing skills are developed through a step-by-step process that progresses from simple to more complex. It starts with learning to operate the computer, then students are taught the fundamentals of keyboarding using the touch-type method, and then continues until the computer can be used as a tool in creating a variety of documents for personal and business use. |
