  • Purpose

This program was established by the school district to help promote life-skill learning and wellness in the community. The goal is to help create positive opportunities so that we can lead more healthy, rewarding lives. Most programs will be for adults, 18 years of age or older.

  • Types of Programs

A variety of programs are offered, including: fitness, recreation, hobbies, crafts, wellness, computers, educational, and social events. Cheryl Knickerbocker wants to offer what the majority of people would like. A survey was included in the May issue of "The Lion's Roar" and the top three areas of interest were programs related to fitness and wellness, computers, and a variety of crafts or hobbies.

  • Advertising

Primarily Cheryl Knickerbocker will use "The Lion's Roar" for advertising events, as well as "The Cortland Standard," which will run brief articles every so often. Cheryl Knickerbocker will post information in area businesses and organizations, too. There will be a bulletin board in the school's greeting area where information will be posted also. In the future, she hopes to have her own newsletter and post information on the school website.

  • Location

Most of the programs offered will be held in the school building. It is hoped that everyone will take advantage of these programs. Everyone is looking forward to this year's programs and events.
