Cincinnatus Pumpkin Walk Returns for Second Year

The Cincinnatus Pumpkin Walk is back for its second year, bringing pumpkins, fall fun and community spirit together for a festive evening!
The idea originated with last year’s FFA officer team, and the Cincinnatus FFA Chapter continues to lead the event. Students in grades UPK through sixth, along with agricultural education students, decorated the pumpkins 70 of which were grown in the school’s courtyard garden. Additional pumpkins were purchased at a very good discount from local growers Brenna Keller of Clover Knoll Farms/Brenna’s Pumpkins, Kurt Brown and Matt’s Hilltop Harvest. The Cincinnatus Store is also donating cider for the festivities.
This year’s walk will take place on the back athletic field and feature activities for the whole family. There will be a farm animal petting zoo, games, face painting, coloring and a costume contest. The PTO, National Honor Society, Athletic Association, Kindness Squad and French Club are helping with activities. Visitors can also check out fire trucks from the Willet and Cincinnatus Fire Stations and join the Cincinnatus Area Heritage Society for a ghost walk through the cemetery.
In the spirit of giving back, attendees are encouraged to bring a boxed or canned food item for Rural Services.
From student creativity to community generosity, the Pumpkin Walk is growing into a fun fall tradition that brings Cincinnatus together!
